Her Excellency Dr.Mrs Janet Sefa Boakye, The C.E.O of ANITA HOTEL LTD was born on the 24th February, 1964 in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region, Ghana.
Dr. Mrs Sefa Boakye, started schooling at K.C.C Primary, South-Suntreso, Kumasi, then to Kumasi Academy. After successful completion, she moved into trading, thus, dealing with jewelries and later acquired a store in Kejetia, Kumasi and then moved into Agro-Chemical business, (SEFA & JANE AGRO-CHEMICALS Ltd.).
Through hard work and God’s blessings, Dr Mrs. Sefa Boakye can boast of about 50 staffs in the agro-chemical business and still counting and is one of the leading agro-chemical company’s in the northern sector, Ghana. Together with her family, they, set-up a washing bay company, water producing company and the Prestigious Anita Hotel Ltd, a three star hotel all in Kumasi and an Insurance company in Prampram, Accra.
Anita Hotel Ltd., a three star hotel (The Gate Way to the Ashanti Kingdom), located in Achiawkrom-Ejisu, Kumasi is equipped with a well-furnished 102 rooms, ranging from STANDARD TO EXECUTIVE SUITES, 4 conference halls, a big restaurant and a bar, business and gym centres, a pool and a large secured car park in tandem with a well-trained, friendly reception has a workforce of more than 100.
Dr Janet Sefa Boakye, a mother of six, wife of Dr. Sefa Boakye and committed member of the Apostolic Church of Ghana is currently a foster mother of about 46 children in which some have completed their tertiary education with others in other tertiary, second cycle institutions and at the junior levels.
Notwithstanding, Dr Mrs Sefa Boakye, a philanthropist, has also contributed immensely to the social and developmental needs of the sick and needy of the pupils of Garden City Special School, Asokore-Manpong, Kumasi and the establishments of portable drinking water, lavatories’ and the likes.
As a result, she has won herself honors; Mother Of Israel, Ambassadorial award, Ashanti business award and others from Doctors and RT V, the first digital satellite television station in Kumasi for working with them for years.
Maa Jane, as she is affectionately called has intended to aid orphans to ensure they also live happily.

Good evening Madam. Considering the loving, kind and generous description of you, I am quite surprised at the response of your front office staff at Anita Hotel. I was travelling with my grand daughter from Bibiani to Accra after a work trip. My two year old grand daughter messed herself up as she had a running stomach. She was in a diaper. I ask my driver to drive in to the hotel since I was sure I will be given a descent place to change my grand daughter who has spoiled herself. The gentleman Mr. Degraft mentioned he could not give me a room to do so neither could I use the toilet for her. Eventually he took me to a tap outside and asked me to use the standing tap. The floor was very hot and my girl was complaining of the very hot floor. It was so difficult to clean my grand daughter and was really disappointed and surprised. I voiced my disappointment to him and the other two staff members who were at the reception. I pray that we understand that life is not all about money. And such kindness needs to be practiced during such emergency situations. I expected Anita Hotel would have behaved differently. Thank you.
